D&W started in 2011, but the dream of having our own company started well before that. In 2002, my brother William and I moved to the United States from Guatemala. Both of us started working for different landscaping companies, learning about the business and expanding our knowledge of landscaping. My brother William obtained an agronomy and agriculture degree from one of the best universities in Guatemala. I myself, graduated in industrial mechanics in 2000.

In 2011, after receiving a word from God we decided to pursue this dream. We did not have much at the time. We started with $1,200, a push mower, leaf blower, and other tools that were given to us. We only had two clients at the time, both of which we did not charge: the church we attended and our pastors house. During that time, both of us had two jobs each. My brother worked for another landscaping company and I worked as a waiter.

Slowly but surely we would gain more clients. We took English classes, as well as some extra classes at Auburn University. After receiving our license from the department of agriculture and industries of the state of Alabama, our company started to gain new heights and have obtained all the licenses and requirements from the state in order to operate to our fullest.

Our success would not been possible if we had not accepted that with Jesus, anything is possible. He has been the foundation in which our company was founded.  Throughout the years, we have never marketed our company in any way. In turn, we put the faith in our Lord to lead us to the right clients and we have expanded more than we have thought we would.

We would like to personally thank all of the clients that have trusted in us and have given us their business. We would also like to thank those who have taken their time to recommend us and have put in a good word on our behalf. Lastly, we would like to thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for giving us the opportunity to build this business.
